I’m willing to bet this is one Mile High Club you haven’t joined yet.
It seems porn star and weekend skydiving instructor Alex Torres (a.k.a “Voodoo”) thought it would be fun to film himself and Skydive Taft receptionist Hope Howell having sex while free-falling from thousands of feet in the air.
They filmed the stunt in the early morning hours when no public nudity complaints could come in.
Now, however, the Taft Police Department is getting involved. Both the Taft Police and the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) are looking into whether the pilot of the plane should be held accountable for allowing this to happen.
Technically, it’s legal to have sex in a private plane, however, FAA spokesman Ian Gregor says any activity that could distract the pilot while he’s flying could be a violation of federal regulations.
The skydiving adrenalin junkies are said to have begun having sex on the plane and then continued once they jumped out in tandem.
Skydive Taft owner David Chrouch has fired Alex Torres but hasn’t decided yet if he will fire the Howell.
“I didn’t know it until one of the officers came over from the Taft Police Department and informed me this was going around the kids in school and stuff,” says Chrouch.
“I was really surprised.”
Chrouch says the video was a stunt Torres put together to get the attention of Howard Stern. “Apparently they told my pilot it was ok to do this. And got here early in the morning before anyone got here and shot this.”
Torres initially had the video posted to on his blog but removed it earlier this week. At this time, not criminal charges are pending.
